Help Rebuild Lives After Hurricane Helene

Edward and I are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our symphony friends and their immediate family. This weekend our friends, Ruth and David Zellers (parents to our very own Knoxville Symphony Orchestra violinists Anna and Daniel Zellers) suffered the devastating and complete loss of their entire home and property in Cosby, TN to catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene. Very little, if anything, will be able to be saved. Directly quoting Daniel: "The house itself is totaled, including all appliances (freezers, stove/oven, microwave, washer, dryer, furniture, beds, couch, chairs, dressers, bookshelves, piano, books, clothes, trailer, power tools, etc)" . Their loss is overwhelming and all-encompassing. Ruth and David were not the only ones hit, but both of their sons have suffered tremendous losses to their current homes, as well. This fundraiser will in no way cover the entirety of what was lost, but it will help them to find a place to live, setting up a living space, either temporary or permanent, and beginning the arduous task of cleaning up and recovering from the disaster.
