CCL Surgery for Taco

Hi everyone,

I hate to put myself out there and ask for help, but this feels like our best option before we are way over our heads in debt and struggling to help our girl...

Recently our fur baby, Taco started limping, and shortly after, was keeping all weight of her right hind leg. I took her to the vet, where I was told that she had ruptured her CCL in her hind leg, which is the ligament connects the dog's femur to the tibia. She was put on pain meds and anti-inflammatories for a few weeks because her joint was so swollen and during this time, the CCL in her other leg ruptured as well from the constant pressure from putting all her weight on it.

At this point Taco is still very young (2 in January 2023) and she has trouble standing, walking and going to the bathroom... It's very obvious that she is in a lot of pain trying to do any of these things.. the CCL surgery suggested is recommended to be scheduled as soon as possible to reduce permanent, irreversible joint damage or arthritis and relieve pain.

Taco means the absolute world to us and I would like nothing more than to get her this surgery as soon as possible. Anything you can give to help ease the cost of this surgery, especially right before the holidays would be extremely appreciated and we would be forever grateful. The $6,000 will not cover the full cost for both legs, but any type of relief would be so helpful.

For anyone who may be curious, Taco's main vet is Ostrander Veterinary Clinic, located in Ostrander Ontario, but she needs to be referred out to a specialist for the surgery in London Ontario. At this time, rough estimates for surgery PER leg are approximately:

$225 consult fee

$5,000+ for the surgery itself (I won't know the exact cost until her consult, but it starts at this price)

$75 for a 2 week re-check post-op

$450 for an 8 week re-check post op
