My dearest and bestest friend since I was 9 years old. Celeste. We have so many memories over the last 35 years, from Michigan, to Florida. Growing up together, raising our kids together even if 1400 miles apart. We’ve fought, cried, laughed, hated and loved each other beyond words.
On May 17th, she went in for a routine surgery. No biggie. I spoke with her the morning of and anxiously awaited her call that she was home and and was well. When my phone rang, I answered with excitement to hear her voice and know her struggles were over. Welp, she was in tears. It didn’t go well and my heart sank. As the words came out between the tears, she told me she was just diagnosed with cancer.
We had to wait several days before she could see the oncologist and we would get details. It was a long few days. The news wasn’t great. She has C3 ovarian cancer and it’s aggressive. We’ve cried. We’ve prayed. We have a group chat with her immediate family and we talk daily. We joke, laugh, support and get sad. She’s already had to go to the er for a procedure because the pain was too much. ♀️
Her treatment plan is in place. She will have several rounds of chemo, a major surgery and more chemo following. She’s determined to beat this and her support team will not accept anything less. ❤️ Her first round of chemo was June 9th.
Please pray hard!!! Celeste is a single mother of 3. Her children are, 22-Destiny, 20-D’Vante & 5-Meadow. These beautiful babies need their Momma to stay strong and everyone to pray and send positive thoughts & vibes. She hasn’t been able to work much since this all started. Her bills are starting to pile up at home, the medical bills haven’t even begun yet. She will lose her hair, need to buy wigs and I’m sure much more than we have even realized yet.
