Dancing for a Dream

For the fourth year in a row we are proud to bring the Dancing for a Dream fundraiser back! This year has been one of many changes, much sacrifice, and adaptation.  Nevertheless, we would like to remind you of the beauty that remains in this world, with the prime example being Las Estrellas del Rawad. Las Estrellas del Rawad are a group of talented young dancers living in the slums of Cartagena, Colombia. Inirida, their founder and director, started this dance group with the goal of protecting the youth from the violence, drugs, and alcohol that surround these children. Through dance, they are able to apply their talents and energy, thus removing them from the dangers of the poverty cycle. Like many living in unfavorable conditions, Las Estrellas del Rawad have been deeply impacted by the pandemic. Thanks to last year's donations we were able to buy groceries for them in a time when access to food was limited. We were also able to support them with school supplies and their yearly lunch celebration. This year more than ever we need your support in collecting funds as it is important to note that this pandemic is still not over. Many are still suffering from the restrictions imposed by the government in terms of going to work and many cannot afford food or groceries. That is why we turn to you. In this wonderful time of giving, we need your help to raise funds for Las Estrellas del Rawad, so we can continue supporting them with groceries and school supplies. We come to you with our consistent and unfaltering belief that everybody deserves an education, and with your help, we can help this group of 50+ young boys and girls under the age of 22 achieve their dreams. 

We are counting on your help and support to continue this yearly tradition and help those who truly need it.
