Please consider offering a helping hand during this incredibly difficult time. March 3, 2025: **MCFR Battles Umatilla Mobile Home Fire**
At 9:57pm, MCFR units were dispatched to reports of a mobile home fire in the 16900 block of SE 252nd Ave, Umatilla. Multiple 911 callers reported the mobile home fire with heavy smoke and flames showing.
MCFR South Forest Station #6 arrived at 10:07pm to find the mobile home fully involved. Crews immediately deployed hose lines to attack the fire from a defensive posture. Additional firefighters from Weirsdale Station #27, Villages Station #10, Belleview Station #18 and Lynne Station #4 arrived on scene to assist.
The primary and secondary searches were completed, the occupants had self-evacuated from the mobile home and other buildings. The fire was called under control at 11:07pm. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported on scene. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
