Help Us Honor Steven’s Legacy and Support His Young Family
On March 1st, 2025, at around 9 a.m., our world lost a bright light far too soon. Steven, a beloved husband and father, a dear friend, my right-hand man at work, a mentee and mentor, and our company’s shop manager, was taken from us in a tragic motorcycle accident. He had just turned 28—a young man with so much life ahead of him, so many dreams left to chase, and a family he adored with every fiber of his being.
Steven was the kind of person who made everyone around him better. At work, he wasn’t just a co-worker; he was the heartbeat of our team. A true company man, he poured his energy into always having conviction of doing what he thought was best for the overall business. In the shop, you’d hear his worship music playing, a reflection of his deep love for Jesus. He didn’t just play those songs for himself—he ministered to us through them, sharing his faith in a way that was gentle, genuine, and impossible to ignore.
Beyond work, Steven poured his energy into the things and people he loved most. He had a deep passion for all things engines. Whether it was working on cars, his truck, go-karts, dirt bikes, motorcycles, or four-wheelers, he was always eager to fix them up, ride them, and share that enthusiasm with others. Steven loved baseball growing up, and carried that love into adult/church softball leagues, even having aspirations to start his own team this year. He also had a love for golf, playing in tournaments with family and friends, or simply enjoying a round of 18 whenever he could. He cherished his time at the park with his wife and kids, often meeting up with coworkers and friends who had children around the same age. And when football season rolled around, Steven took charge, organizing and leading Fantasy Football leagues that brought everyone together in friendly competition. No matter what he was doing, he made sure to include those around him, turning every moment into an opportunity to bond, laugh, and create lasting memories.
But nothing mattered more to Steven than his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife of just under five years, Kassandra, and an incredible father to his two beautiful children, Mason (4) and Maddison (1). He strived every day to be the best dad and husband he could be, pouring his heart into building a future for them. Steven and his wife had been saving tirelessly for a down payment on their first home, where his young, growing family could put down roots, make memories, and feel secure. It was a dream he spoke about often, his eyes lighting up with pride and hope. In fact, he was heading into his second job, where he worked part-time to help save for this goal when the accident happened.
Steven’s generosity knew no bounds. Whether it was lending a hand to a friend, sharing a kind word, buying a coworker lunch, sending a gift card in a time of need, or simply being there when you needed him, he lived his life with an open heart. His faith wasn’t just something he talked about; it was something he lived, every single day. Even now, I can hear his voice outside my office helping others solve problems throughout the day, echoing through the shop, reminding us of the love and grace he carried with him.
This loss has left a hole in our lives that words can’t describe. But more than anything, it’s his family, his wife and two little ones—who face the hardest road ahead. No one should endure this kind of heartbreak, especially not a young family just starting out. That’s why we’re reaching out to you, our community, to help honor Steven’s legacy and give his family the support they need to carry on.
The funds we raise will go directly to Kassandra and the kids—to help cover funeral expenses, ease the financial burden of this sudden loss, and, if possible, keep Steven’s dream alive by contributing to that down payment for their family home. Every dollar, every share, every prayer means the world to them right now.
Steven gave so much to all of us—his time, his love, his faith. Let’s come together to give back to his family in their time of need. Let’s show them they’re not alone, that Steven’s light still shines through all of us who knew and loved him.
Thank you for reading Steven’s story. Thank you for helping us keep his spirit alive for his wife, his children, and everyone whose life he touched.
With gratitude,
Adam Rehberg
Isaiah 61: 1-3
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
