Help Jasmin Rebuild After Hurricane Helene Flooding

My name is Janie Guzzo. I lived, with my family, in the Asheville area for fifteen years. I moved to West Virginia a year ago. I continue to work in Asheville, in the interior home design business.

I met Jasmin Wallen sixteen years ago, in 2008. She became my hairstylist, shortly after my family and I moved to Asheville, NC. Jasmin has an amazing gift with hair and she is such a loving and caring person.

Jasmin was born and raised in the Asheville area, and she lived there most of her life. In 2020, she felt called to the beautiful Nolichucky river, in Erwin, TN. She was commuting to Asheville for work, but she had made a home in Tennessee.

Then, in September, Helene came. It began with the road to her home being flooded, then washed away. The water quickly rose, to levels human eyes have never seen in this area. The water soon overtook her small cabin, all of her belongings and memories washed down the river. The same river she had called home for four years.

Jasmin has lived the past month in shock. Everything, except her sweet dog, Hella and her rabbit, Hunny Bunz, was gone. A local friend, opened their home to her and she continues to commute to NC to provide her clients with her services; during this time of turmoil.

Jasmin is a very independent young woman, with a heart of gold, and it took some convincing to start this GoFundMe. Sometimes, it is difficult to admit we need help. This is our opportunity to give to someone, who is so willing to share her gifts and care for the people around her, with unwavering soul-shine.

Any donations are appreciated and extremely helpful in getting this wonderful woman back on her feet! Donations will be used to replace Jasmin's home and belongings.
