Funding for dog surgery.

Hello everyone, my name is Ray. I am trying to raise funds for my Shiba Inu's surgery.

My pup’s name is Migi. She was a rescue from a puppy mill, she was one of the breeding mothers. As far as I am aware she is roughly 4 years old.

I have only had Migi for 3 months and she's an incredible dog. When I first got her, she was skin and bones, scared of people, didn't know how to interact with other dogs, and also didn't understand English. Now she has gained lots of healthy weight, is always excited to meet new people, enjoys playing with non hyper dogs, and her most impressive trick is "sit" and "sleep". She always comes when I call her while working in the warehouse, like playing a game of hide and seek.

Migi is with me 7 days a week. I work 7 days a week and my work is dog friendly. We have a massive warehouse at work where she loves running around and befriending all the coworkers. There are many other dogs at work but I already know my pup is the cutest.

I remember the first day I brought her home she looked right into my eyes and took a peepee on the floor. She was making the statement "I own this home now, clean after me peasant". I looked right at her and said I always wanted a kid of my own, you will do just fine. Shortly after I claimed her as my furry daughter.

I have lived alone for roughly 10 years and she is my family, my hope, and my happiest friend to be around.

Just yesterday my silly pup slipped through the double doors as my coworkers were leaving the warehouse and ran outside. A small group of us ran after her but she was too quick. She went out into traffic and got hit by a car going at 60kmph.

Immediately my colleagues and I took Migi to the closest animal clinic a few minutes away. They did really good patchwork and were very nice to Migi. The problem with that clinic was closing time and my pup was recommended overnight care. So they sent me to an overnight clinic 10 km away. On arrival they hooked her up on oxygen, checked her x-rays, and told me Migi may look worse they it appears. Sadly this clinic only opens till 7 am and I would have to move her again after that. So the 2nd clinic sent me to a 3rd animal hospital 40km away that had 24hr care. Now I have arrived at the 3rd clinic they gave me a much more in-depth analysis of Migi. She may have a bruised lung, fractured joint, and a few lesser superficial problems. So now Migi needs to stay overnight, hooked on oxygen, pain medication, and constant watch.

At this point, the first clinic and 2 clinics have billed me $2000 for an emergency consult, oxygen tank, blood drawn, IV bag I think, and patchwork. 3rd hospital quotes me $8300, with overnight care for 4 days. Now in the morning her fractured joint needs surgery when she feels better for $6300 or amputation is on the table to avoid future chronic pain. The clinic warned me that there will be more bills up ahead.

I already work 7 days a week. I am always willing to work hard, and more hours. I am not afraid of hard work and high stress. With all the price increases, and living expenses going up, I have always made a priority of Migi first. Having her for 3 months I have spoiled her endlessly, she has 3 beds at home and 1 at work, she has only high-end foods and freeze-dried treats, she loves her pumpkin puree and Greek yogurt. While Migi has all that I am always trying to save money by "racooning" (as my coworkers called it) food at work to help save money.

I am hoping for some financial help for all of Migi’s medical bills. This is a crippling amount for a solo person like myself, I wish for the best treatment, and longest-term benefit for my furry partner. Anything helps me achieve the best care Migi may need.
