Farewell to Chalky (John) Gardner

Hi, my name is Fari Gardner. Many of you would have known my Dad, Chalky (John) Gardner, he was a popular and well-loved face about Ryde, and later Sandown. He was always the one greeting you with a big cheesy grin as you walked into Ryde Commodore cinema.

Sadly he passed away in March, and we have been unable to cover the costs of a funeral. We are raising funds to allow my Dad to be laid to rest, and for his family and friends to celebrate his life.

The amount we need is to cover the most basic of services, no frills, just a dignified farewell. Any additional funds raised will be donated to The Poppy Appeal, which was dear to my Dad's and his parents' hearts.
