Help Ian Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
As most of you know Ian Slatter is battling cancer. The sarcoma that was treated in his shoulder some 5 years ago has spread to his brain, lungs, and blood.
Ian has gone through radiation treatment for the brain tumors and is getting ready for Chemo to start for the rest of his body.
Ian had been teaching for Center Grove High School in Greenwood, IN. Unfortunately, he has not reached the one year mark which leaves him ineligible for some benefits like FMLA. The school has helped with time from their sick bank, but that will only take things so far.
Ian, Alison and the kids need our help to cover medical bills and other expenses while Ian is unable to work. Alison is homeschooling the kids (11, 13, and 16) and is also taking care of Ian while his body is responding to treatment.
Sarcoma is a fairly rare form of cancer with less research and treatment options. We are praying that the combination of radiation and chemo will slow the creation of new tumors that can block blood flow or press on the brain.
We have set a goal of $25,000 based on lost income while Ian is receiving treatment as well as anticipated medical costs.
Would you please help support our dear friends through this very difficult time.
Sincerely,
The Friends and Family of the Slatters
