Help Ed heal!

My Good Friends,

I call on you for your help. I have been diagnosed with a rather large ominous looking growth on my right-side kidney. This growth is about the size of a golf ball. It requires a concerning surgery to be removed. Concerning because the odds are I will lose the entire kidney. If the growth pathology reveals a cancerous condition further medical help may be required.

My surgery date is February 8th, 2022.

This is not a life-threatening result, to have one kidney, but will require some lifestyle changes and will leave me with about a 6-to-8-week recovery period. During this recovery time I will not be able to maintain my current “off-grid” lifestyle. No hauling wood for heat or hauling water as well.

The VA will cover the cost of my surgery but I am on my own for my recovery period.

Since I now live on a minimum amount of income with Social Security being the bulk of my finances, I do not have enough monies on hand to afford a recovery location. Therefore, I must appeal to you for some help to simply rent a house or apt. where I can relax and heal up until I am able to get back to the woods so to speak.

I will need some physical help when first released from the hospital. I am fortunate to have family and friends to help me during that first week or so. I feel very blessed to be lucky enough to reach out to my family of friends for some support.

Your help will enable me to stay around my domain so I can periodically check on my PV system and help maintain my sunroom garden etc.

No words can express how I feel having to lean on others and NO WORDS can express how I love and respect all the good friends I have amassed over this life journey.
