Rodriguez Family Support

It is with great sadness and disbelief that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of K9 Sergeant Jose Rodriguez, AKA “J-Rod, Joe,” at the young age of 50. Joe leaves behind Amy, his wife, two beautiful daughters, Liana (9) and Jessica (16) and his K9 partner Sam.

Joe was a 24-year veteran of the U. S. Park Police. In his years of faithful service, Joe has helped countless people and mentored a lot of young officers. He was compassionate, understanding and always went out of his way to help others with a smile on his face. He was the sole provider for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend, who will be deeply missed by all. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters in law enforcement and the K9 community that he was a huge part of.

His sudden death has created a void his family can never fill. His family needs all the support they can receive. We can honor Joe’s legacy of compassion and selflessness by helping his family during their time of need, like the way he helped others.
