Richard & Joy Shriver

My name is Kendal, I’m the daughter of Richard and Joy Shriver. If you knew my mom and dad you would know their whole lives all they have done is give to others never asking for anything. These last months have been the worse. My dad ended up in the ICU the end of July diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He has two leaking values. He is too weak to have the surgery at this time, but the medicine they have put him in is not covered by their insurance and it is very expensive. A week later my mom fell hitting her head and ended up in ICU with a brain bleed. She was off her blood thinner for a procedure coming up. They said that is what saved her. Last week, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. The next day my mom went to the cardiologist because after waking up from her surgery they noticed her heart wasn’t pumping correctly. We are currently at the hospital getting a pace maker. Next week, she has to have a total hysterectomy. She will be out of work and not able to drive or work for an awhile. My mom is the main source of their income. They would never ask and have always been the ones to give, but I’d like to help take one less stress off them and help set them up an emergency fund and help with their bills and medicine while my mom is off work. We don’t know yet on chemo or radiation. Praying it is contained.
