Help after a house fire

Hi everyone. I’m Danielle. I’m fundraising to raise funds to help us after we’ve had a house fire.

Over the weekend (7th September 2024) we had a house fire. Our kitchen is a complete disaster, a full write-off, the whole house is badly smoke damaged.

Myself, my partner, our 3 children, 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 tortoises are all staying in my nans for the weekend. 

The housing can’t find suitable accommodation for us and aren’t willing to pay for anything due to it not being them at fault. 

They want us to remove anything we can from the house and store it somewhere so we need to get a storage unit too. 

I’m hoping to raise enough to start getting ourselves sorted. We have to start from the beginning completely. All our white goods, furniture, clothes, the tortoises viv, everything is ruined. Luckily our fridge freezer and small freezer were in the cupboards in the hallway with closed doors so we are able to clean them up. Just lose all the food. But at least we still have them!

I’m not one to ask for help but this is an emergency. I’ve never had to do anything like this before.

We’re all in shock but grateful no one was hurt!

Any money raised will be used to replace the kids beds and bedding, our bed and bedding and possibly sofas, if we raise enough.
