Help Jayden’s Medical Bills & Recovery Process
Hello everyone, my nephew Jayden got struck by a car on 06|25|21. Not only did he get hit by the car, but it ran over him and fled the scene! Jayden is only 12 years old and loves to play football. The love for football was taken from him that night because he is now in the hospital with tons of injuries. Jayden has a bruised lung, a broken pelvis , fractured ankle, deep open wounds to the left arm and leg, tire burns to the left arm, leg, and lower back with cuts and bruises to the left hand. He also lost tons of blood which led to requiring a blood transfusion. As of right now Jayden has a metal bar coming out of his stomach holding his pelvis together.
We are all blessed to have him still alive with us but our family is still in need of some support. His mother and his stepfather are by his side everyday and night helping him get through these tough times and would like to continue doing this with your help. As his aunt, I’m taking initiative to speak out for my nephew Jayden. Anything helps with his recovery process. This is going towards hospital expenses, room and board, and for his mother who is going to have to pay for a hotel to make sure she isn’t far from Jayden while he is in the hospital.
Spending every night in the hospital is the toughest seeing him this way! Jayden is constantly yelling and screaming about how much pain he is in. He wants to turn over and rest properly, but he can’t. Because of all his injuries, Jayden has to lay on his back uncomfortably.
His parents both have to keep their composure at all times, but there are times they both want to break down and cry. Yet and still, they continue to maintain and keep Jayden calm when he is in excruciating pain. Jayden has gone through 2 tough surgeries on his pelvis and he still continues to pull through like a champ. The doctor tells us Jayden won’t be able to put weight on his legs for a little awhile but there is still hope that he will have a faster recovery than they think. Jayden is the strongest kid I know and he is making progress everyday that I see him!!
Jayden previously received his care at University Hospital, but because of the trauma, he will be transferred to the Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson. Hopefully, he’ll get the best treatment and therapy that’s needed for his injuries. Jayden is a trooper! I ask him everyday if he’s okay and his response is always “I’m fine, just in some pain.” His stepfather has been by his side helping Jayden get through the pain by taking his mind off what’s going on.
As of right now we don’t know how long he will be in the hospital. But with the help of family, friends, and your support, Jayden and our entire family will be grateful for your generosity! We are blessed to have people who care about his situation and are willing to help him get back to his childhood lifestyle. Thank You all in advance and we all know Jayden’s recovery is in God's plan and hands.
