TCMA Needs Help!

As a mom, I didn't know what to expect when my little kid said he wanted to learn martial arts. Turns out, TKD isn’t just about hitting and kicking people. It’s about respect, perseverance, determination and self-control. I’ve watched my kid diligently practice his art for 5 years. The Black Belts teach him how to punch and kick better, and also, how to be a better person. They lead by example.
So it’s not a surprise that when a water heater broke during last Saturday's class, the students sprang into action. Crawling into the ceiling, finding a water cut-off & cleaning the back half of the now-flooded studio. But anyone who has been through a flood knows - water creeps into all things.
Thousands of dollars in floor mats were destroyed. Ceiling tiles, walls, lockers and equipment are all waterlogged and now trash. This small studio persevered when Covid decimated the after-school program. It fought to stay open and keep costs low for students. But fighting this flood will need all hands on deck. The insurance deductible is too high - everything is out of pocket. Any amount you can give would be deeply appreciated, by both teachers & students.
