Hunter's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
My son Hunter and his girlfriend and one year old daughter were in a terrible car accident Sunday evening. They were T-boned by a gentleman who claimed to not see the stop sign and ran thru it, essentially hitting the passenger side front door at 45-50 mph.
Hunter was on the passenger side and had to be extracted from the car via the jaws of life, but they all walked away alive and able to be put back together. A complete blessing as we know how bad this could have been. The baby was released from the hospital the night of the accident with no injuries other than a scratch or two. Mikayla was released home the following day with a fractured vertebrae and lots and lots of bruises and bumps and pain. Hunter should hopefully come home tomorrow.
Hunter's injuries included: a broken sternum, a broken left forearm, a broken sacrum, pelvis broken in 4 places, a large laceration on his right elbow, compressed lungs, glass inhaled and in his lungs, multiple shards of glass dug out of his legs, hands, arms and chest. Bruises, bumps and lacerations.
He has a long road to recovery ahead. He will get there I know!! Hunter's recovery is projected for 3-6 months until he can fully return to work. He is a Mason/Contractor by trade, so due to the physicality of his job, those months of healing will be necessary.
Hunter is the provider for his family as Mikayla is a stay at home mom to Drew. Him not being able to work at all for 3-6 months will be very difficult on this young family.
Family is by all means helping them, but we are asking for any donations to be able to help offset their living expenses while Hunter takes the time to heal.
We of course retained an attorney, but the case will most likely take months or years to come to an end.
Please consider a donation of any dollar amount to be able to take some pressure off of them. No donation is to small.
Thank you for all of your well wishes and good energy and prayers that have come our way. We are forever grateful for all of the support that we have during this most difficult time.
