Please Help Me Get Back Home To CA

I left Calfornia to start a new life & to help out a long time, dear friend who was sick, disabled & in great need of my  help in New York. She was all alone & had been begging me to come live with her for YEARS.

I was having difficulty finding sustainable work in CA. So I decided to go to NY & help my dying, disabled friend. I was promised a house. When I arrived in New York in August 2014 she had been living in absolute squalor. So I immediately cleaned the place up top to bottom & worked my butt off doing so. The people who were supposed to be helping her  did absolutely nothing except damage her property. And  worse, she had been paying them $1200 a month for 5 years for just picking up her precriptions & taking her to doctor appointments every 2-3 months. I was furious with the way these people had taken advantage of my friend.  

Immediately upon my arrival here in  NY, my friend had told me that all the legal papers had been given to her lawyer for my name to be added to the deed of the house so that upon her death I would not have to worry about anything like being homeless.

Well...my friend died somewhat suddenly on October 26, 2015...and oddly, not from the condition that plagued her while she was alive. 

It turns out I was lied to by this so-called friend. She never added my name to the deed, never completed her will.  So...her estranged sister in Florida gets the house. And I was left wondering what the hell I was going to do 3000 miles away from home. 

Well I have my puny income...I can find an apartment locally or something until I can find a way to move back home. Stressful, but not completely impossible, right? 

WRONG. 

After yet another long, cold winter & every dime of my income paying the high heating bill, etc., there has been no way for me to save money to move ANYWHERE, let alone back home where all of my family & friends are. I  don't have my own transportation anymore, I have sold nearly every piece of jewlery I own that was of any value just to make ends meet during the past few months. 

The house is sold, renovations begin on the 8th. I have to move. 

I now have a place to live in CA & a plane ticket to get there but nothing to cover any of the other expenses (shipping about 7 boxes of my most precious belongings, money for a cab to the airport & for my luggage). My flight is on June 7th so the clock is ticking...rather loudly. 

I understand that many of you are going through your own financial difficulties, so please do not feel bad if you cannot help. But if you are in a position to spare a little, please help. 

I don't think I'll ever be able to repay anyone, but I will be forever thankful to all of you who do help.

No amount is too small.
