Support Maddie's Fight Against Cancer

In February 2024, our dear friend Madeline (Maddie) Cohen was diagnosed with Mucosal Melanoma, a rare and aggressive cancer affecting the mucous membranes. On March 15, 2025, Maddie learned that her cancer is back. As a wife to Shim, a medically retired war veteran, and a mother to two beautiful daughters, Samarra and Savannah (1 and 3), this news is devastating.

With intensive treatments, Maddie had to step away from her counseling practice to focus on surviving. This meant putting a pause on her income and stepping away from a practice that gave her a true sense of joy and purpose.

To get Maddie and her family out of survival mode, we have launched this fundraiser to help cover the immense medical and day-to-day expenses until she can rebuild the practice she loves. A practice that focuses on empowering women and parents to develop the skills and confidence to handle the hurdles that life brings, hurdles that Maddie knows all too well.
