Lilly's surgery fund
On August 7th Lilly will be undergoing an extensive surgery on her left foot to remove her rare type of hemangioma that she was born with at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. She will require to have a full skin graft from her groin in hope to cover what is removed from her foot. The hemangioma covers half of her left foot on top and bottom. It swells often, and is painful, and will bleed. She has a very hard time wearing a simple pair of shoes, and she is only able to walk on half of her foot. Surgery is the only option for her condition, as this will only grow as she grows up. Lilly will be unable to walk for 6 weeks or longer, and will have an extensive recovery time with many follow up visits to her surgeon in Milwaukee. I will be taking a Family Medical Leave from work for a month to care for Lilly full time with no income which puts an additional financial burden on our family. This is a very costly surgery, but in the end we hope she will have a pain free, shoe wearing, normal walking life . Anything you can spare will be very helpful for medical expenses and is much appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. Below are photos of her foot, for those that have not seen it before.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
