Cancer Warrior - Help me make her dream come true!

This is my mom.


As many of you may know, I am a very extroverted person, who loves and cares for others and passionately welcomes people in. However, many of of you may not know that all of these traits were passed on to me from my mom. It is because of her hard work and sacrifice that I was able to go to a bilingual school in Honduras, which opened the doors for me to be here in the United States. Her love for her children is evident through her selflessness - she has given up so much in order to provide for us. In December, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, yet she did not give up and has been fighting like a true warrior. She always remains joyful - even encouraging us in her affliction! - and trusts that God will work a miracle. One of her fondest dreams has been to see her whole family together. She has yet to meet her youngest granddaughter and she would love to see her 3 granddaughters playing together one day. We would love to make these dreams come true, but we know that it is impossible for us to afford a trip to Honduras for a family of four. Due to my parents' financial situation, once in Honduras, we would have to rent a car, rent a place for our family to stay, and cover all of our expenses while we are there. But we know that we do not have to do this alone. We believe in the power of community and are reaching out to ours for help. Our desire is to be able to raise $3500 - this will allow us to fly, rent a car, rent an Airbnb for our family for a week and bless my family while we are in Honduras. We feel the urgency surrounding this trip, because we are not sure how long my mom will be with us. We would love to visit her in August, so we are hoping to raise enough funds by mid-July. In the same way my family is trusting God for healing, we are trusting that He will provide for this dream. Thank you for taking time to read about my mom.
