Victims of war in Ukraine

I'm Brad and since 2017 I've been living in Kyiv, Ukraine. Myself, my wife and our dog sadly had to leave our home, family and friends behind to start a new life in Ireland.

 

We miss our home dearly and we constantly feel completely helpless to what's going on back home. So to counter this horrible feeling we've decided to start a gofundme page in the hope of raising some much needed funds for victims of this horrible invasion who were unable to leave Ukraine and our constantly living in fear of what might be coming next.

 

My aim is travel back to Kyiv myself, from where the money will be used to buy food, water, clothing, pay medical bills, pet food, care, veterinary bills, supplies, anything at all that is needed to help these innocent victims. In the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zhitomyr regions, a lot of cities, towns and villages have been completely destroyed, lives have been ruined and people are living in bombed out buildings while also trying to deal with the unimaginably horrific losses of parents, siblings, children, pets, friends. This will be the area of Ukraine where my focus will be given its relative return to safety and proximity to my home in Kyiv.

 

This country has given me so much in my life there in the last 5 years so I feel it is my duty to help these people who I am proud and happy to have shared my home with. Having fled and seen the horrors of war myself, I can't imagine how tough it has been for people still there almost 3 months later. So we must help these people in anyway we can and any donation no matter the size will go towards helping a big way!

 

I will document the entire process of returning to help and it will also be available to follow in the Irish media. The financial target is my first ambitious goal but if we were to get anywhere near that it would go so incredibly far in helping people.
