Kim Whalin's Memorial

Kim Whalin was a loving mother, wife,daughter, grandmother and friend. There was never anything she wouldn't do for anyone. No one in this world had a bigger, more loving ,caring heart than she did. She always looked at the positive side in everyone and everything. Anyone she ever knew was considered family. Everybody that walked into the Whalin home was welcomed with open arms.  She knew the right words to say to make anyone feel better in any situation. Not only did she sacrifice everything to raise three kids, her and Steve also changed their lives  completely to raise their two grandsons. She never wanted them to know the pain of them not knowing their family. She would do anything for any of us. Kim is a Thyroid cancer survivor, she was diagnosed in 2000 and fought the hard battle and won. She was 12 years cancer free. She NEVER gave up. Kim was the strongest person we have ever met. Recently she became very ill and was hospitalized. Many questions went without answers as to what exactly was affecting her and she unexpectedly passed away.

Our father Steve was by our mothers side in the hospital everyday for the past month, and their bills have piled up. The last thing we want our dad to stress about right now are the astronomical medical bills. We want to thank everyone for any donation that has been made, and we appreciate everything that everyone has done for our family. No words can express the love we have received from everyone and how grateful we truly are to have such amazing support.
