Please help my MIL who was mauled by a pit bull!

On October 26, 2023, while sitting on her porch my mother-in-law, Renee Lamb was violently and viciously attacked by a pit bull. Fortunately, she escaped with her life but did sustain serious physical, mental, and emotional trauma.

Renee was rushed to the ER at UT Medical Center for treatment. Where, not only did she have multiple puncture wounds and deep lacerations to her left hand, and loss of a fair amount of blood but also her hand is broken in two different places. She is now in a partial cast and has the first of many appointments Tuesday with an Ortho specialist to see how extensive the damage is to her ligaments, tendons and nerves.

Until she is released to drive and while her husband, Chris, is away working, Renee will have to arrange for any transportation needed. She does have insurance to cover most of the medical expenses; however, she will have to cover the cost of traveling to and from the many doctors and specialists appointments. She will also have other expenses to rapidly accumulate such as medical co-pays, prescription co-pays, and other medical-related expenses not covered by insurance.

It cannot be denied that Renee is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She has a caring and generous heart, and is always helping those in need, no matter their need. She and her husband Chris would never ask for a dime but they need our help now.

$500 is a good start. Any donations are greatly appreciated. The last thing they deserve to worry about is making ends meet. This experience has been so traumatizing for them, as well as to others close to them, let's give her a chance to focus on healing, instead of how to cover expenses.
