I hope this message finds you well. My name is Yaroslava, and I am the proud owner of a vintage furniture and interior object as well as small handmade jewelry business that recently faced some challenges. I am writing to you today to share my story and seek your support through a GoFundMe campaign!

In the end of October of 2023 I underwent emergency back surgery, which has caused a temporary setback for my businesses and my employment. Due to my diagnoses I was having lots of health issues causing major restrictions to my physical activities and daily life, and in result left me unemployed with plenty of bills pilling up daily. Due to the financial difficulties I had to sell most of my inventory cheap and fast, post surgery restrictions and uncertain rehabilitation time drained me out of my savings and future profits. I have been unable to do any physical work and provide myself with stable source of income, respectively I got into debt, I wasn’t able to expand my inventory, secure a working and storage space, and invest in marketing efforts. These are crucial steps that would not only help me recover financially from this setback but also allow me to revive the business that I was restlessly building for almost two years, dedicating all of my time and energy to hard work, learning new skills in restoration, understanding vintage and antique markets, sourcing, etc.

Unfortunately, the loans that have been offered to me come with exorbitant interest rates that would only lead to further financial burden. As an immigrant who has worked tirelessly to create a better life, the opportunity to build a successful small business that brings me joy and financial stability means the world to me. The most importantly flexible hours and opportunity to work on my own terms in the future would play crucial role in maintaining good health considering the nature of condition I’ve been dealing with.

My passion lies in giving new life to old, worn furniture and interior objects, as well as in creating and transforming spaces we call homes. I believe that everyone deserves to have a place that feels special and beautiful, and I strive to provide affordable options that can transform any space. My goal is to keep pursuing career in interior design and vintage retail, despite unexpected difficulties I’ve faced, I refuse to give up.

Your generous contribution or investments will go towards expanding my inventory, paying debt, providing more transportation options, securing a decent work and storage space, giving me time and resources to keep working on my projects and investing in marketing efforts to reach a wider audience.
