Support the Children and Spouses Left Behind
On April 19th, 2020, Nova Scotia experienced an unthinkable tragedy. 22 innocent lives have been taken in this senseless act of violence! RCMP Cst. Heidi Stevenson life was taken in the line of duty while protecting her community during this tragic event. There were also two Correctional Officers, a teacher, two Nurses and a retired firefighter who’s lives we’re taken.
While there is not much we can offer aside from our prayers and support for these families as they are trying to process this sad news, we do want to be able to help offset expenses, assist with the financial burden and take care of any children left behind. 100% of all donations raised by this campaign is going directly to ALL the families affected by this tragedy. It is also our goal to ensure the CHILDREN left behind with no parent(s) are taken care of.
We are the Canada’s 911 Ride – Atlantic/Quebec! Darrell Coffin is the President & Brad Richard is the Vice President of this foundation. We also have many Police Officers from various departments across the Maritimes on our committee and are supported by all departments. Our general mission for our foundation includes helping families of fallen emergency service personnel, helping children who were victims of violent crimes, as well as making public defibrillators more readily available to help save lives in our communities. We will be donating a defibrillator & plaque in memory of Cst. Heidi Stevenson so she can continue to serve her community in which her family will choose who is the recipient. We will also be donating a defibrillator & plaque in memory of all those who lost their live in this tragic event which will also go into the community.
