Hi, my name is Sabrina McFarland and sadly my great grandmother passed away as of the morning of 6/30/21. My grandmother Eva Sheppard was a devoted community leader and woman of god. She was born in 1931 and was raised in a rural town near Boloxi, Mississippi where as a kid she picked cotton on a plantation for a white family along with her other family members. She eventually got married and had 6 kids and decided to move to San Francisco in the 1960s to live with her cousin. She grew up without much and so did her children, but she always made ends meet. She was well known for her contributions in the Visitacion Valley neighborhood in San Francisco as a very active resident who helped with food banks, voting polls, and more. I am asking for help to give her the send off that she deserves.
