Emergency Housing Funds

After unexpectedly being left high and dry in February by a former roommate, we have been playing catch-up ever since to make up for the other large portion of rent and bills, making it nearly impossible to be able to afford to leave to a more manageably priced rental.
We put into motion a plan to relocate once we could afford it (barely) and put in our 30 day notice. We packed up our home into a u-haul, gathered our 4 cats (cake, powder, Oreo, and fluffy) and the plan was to have a place ready before the 30 day deadline was up. Everything seemed to be running smoothly until we experienced a sudden, tragic loss resulting in a big change of plan. We found a place and were prepared to stay at an airbnb for a day at most. We were under the impression we had a new place secured and the realtor would need no more than a day to have the place ready for us. To our disappointment, they had strung us along and didn't seem to have any intention of moving us in. it wasn't until after we vacated the building that we discovered we would not be getting the new place after all.
Now we are homeless and staying in a motel until we can find a place to move in. It's been over a week and the costs of food, shelter, as well as the u-haul holding our belongings have drained our move in funds. We have about $1,500 towards our new home, however we are falling short due to the countless unexpected expenses we've had to pay to keep a roof over our heads and food to eat for us and our cats.
As of right now, we have found a promising place and are waiting for approval, however we will need assistance to hold us over. We were told approval could take until Monday, but hopefully we can get approved tomorrow (Saturday) and we are dangerously close to exhausting our funds. We are asking for your help in getting back our stability. Due to our housing crisis Cap was unable to work for two weeks and was terminated. He's working on getting a new job during this process and it would be very helpful if we could get some assistance during this transitional period.
All donations will go towards the following:
⁃ move in fees (deposit, rent, and utility start up)
⁃ Food for us and our 4 kitties
⁃ Gas for transportation
⁃ U-haul charges
We've done our best to remain optimistic, however the weight of everything is far too heavy and starting to take affect on us. We're both neurodivergent creators and Taylor is Autistic, so it's been increasingly difficult to maintain a positive attitude throughout this process. All donations and good energy is deeply appreciated! We'll keep you updated on our situation as things progress. Thank you so much for taking the time to share our crowd fund!
