Australian Deaf Rugby Tour - Argentina 2023

Hi, my name is Gordon Townsend.

I have been selected to represent Australia at the 2023 Deaf Rugby 7's World Cup in Argentina in April.

I am of New Zealand and Chatham Islands descent and have lived in Sydney, Australia for over a decade. I have grown to love what this country has to offer and done for me, and I would love to give back to Australia by winning the World Cup and bringing it home.

Due to limited funding from Rugby Australia, each player is responsible to raise the money needed to get to Argentina.

I am a married father of three boys and paying our way would place a burden on our finances at home. Travel and accommodation costs are very expensive and I am seeking financial support to help me achieve this wonderful opportunity.
