Help Kanaan’s family to evacuate from GAZA !
Donation protected
The family gathered in Gaza, where an important event took place; it was the family's first celebration. There were many preparations and celebrations, until we finished distributing the invitations. Only two days remained, and there was much excitement... Until a moment! Everything turned on its head; an endless war had begun, turning everything into devastation!
A family brimming with positivity and life, they established a beautiful home filled with warmth and affection, with children excelling in various fields and countries.
The father, Kanaan, a retired pediatrician who worked for over 30 years in Gaza hospitals treating children with neurological diseases, alongside his wife, a teacher. They devoted their lives to this home and family you see in the attached image.
Once, It was a warm home filled with memories, successes, and colors, but it exists no more. Occupation turned it into rubble, burning everything with it. This family no longer resides there, having evacuated to the southern part of the strip to survive, just to breathe without clean water, proper food, or even a warm place for over 160 days.
Today, this family invites you to donate solely to help them leave Gaza, to save their lives and the futures destroyed in this massacre. They don't seek money except to exit through the crossing gate, which requires over $8,000 per person.
Let me tell you a bit about the members of this family:
- Reem and her husband Ali, the anticipated joy our family awaited for a long time. They are both doctors specializing in emergency medicine at Al-Shifa Hospital. They had a beautiful love story, preparing a beautiful home together, meticulously planning every detail of their joy. Ali worked in multiple places to afford all these preparations. But joy didn't happen; the house was destroyed, preparations burned. Ali now resides in the central part of the strip, working as a doctor in displaced persons' shelters, while Reem is in the south, struggling to meet due to the danger of roads and continuous shelling.
- Abdul Rahman, the eldest son of the family, a critical care doctor who worked at Al-Shifa Hospital for two years before leaving Gaza to continue his future and specialization. He came to Gaza two days before the war to attend Reem and Ali's wedding but got stuck and couldn't return to work for over five months, putting his academic and professional future at risk. ( update: Abdelrahman has successfully reached Egypt by Alsadaqa club’s aid )
- Deema, a master's student in Turkey specializing in microbiology, also came to Gaza with all her joy to participate in her eldest sister's wedding, only to be stuck here. Deema had received an Erasmus scholarship to Poland and had been waiting for this opportunity since starting university. However, she lost the scholarship due to her delay in returning to her university, missing an entire semester and risking losing her academic seat if she doesn't return and join the second semester at the earliest opportunity.
- Hala, a dental student on the verge of graduation and a YouTube content creator. She had her own studio at home, built from scratch with her own effort, alongside many dental tools she adored, filming and amazing us with her precise work. following the Israeli bombardment, the studio, equipment, and dental tools turned to ashes. Her studies stopped, unable to complete the final year or wear the graduation cap.
- Noor, whom we consider the smartest among us all, finished high school with distinction and joined medical school while simultaneously receiving a Tawakkol Karman scholarship for IELTS studies. She also pursued programming and had many interests. The war struck, destroying the house and university. Currently, Noor cannot continue her newly started university studies or attend the IELTS scholarship classes due to continuous internet interruptions. She cannot pursue any of her interests either.
- Nada, studying in the final stage, had prepared diligently to finish this year with distinction and join university. However, everything halted due to the war. Schools turned into shelters, textbooks burnt in the bombing, and many teachers died during the war.
- Haya, the family's spoiled little one, studying in the sixth grade, was surrounded by many friends and toys, none of which exist anymore. Haya cries day and night from the surrounding sounds of shelling, always asking when all this will end.
Your contribution, support, and spreading the word may be the hope that reunites Reem and Ali again under favorable conditions to continue their specialization paths and life journey together, the hope that helps Abdul Rahman and Deema continue their work and studies they've been striving for years, and the light that brings this family back to safety, stability again.
