Helping Rachel Heal

Dec. 2022 - Our friend Rachel was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma that originated in the tongue and spread to (at least, but hopefully only) a submental lymph node. She will be going in for surgery and treatment on December 19, 2022. It is going to be a long road to recovery and she will be out of work for an extended period of time. We want to help ease her mind and aid her healing by starting a fundraiser to help with that. Not only is Rachel a great Animal Control Officer and community helper, but she is also an advocate for animals, a dog/cat foster, devoted pet parent, and an all-around good human being.

Although Rachel has medical insurance, many things will not be covered both for medical (she is already getting bills for diagnostics) - as well as personal needs, like day-to-day expenses, especially those related to her pets. Our goal is to enable her to focus on healing and recovery without having to worry about added expenses while she is out of work. Please consider making a donation to help her during this time.
