Hi there!
My name is Jennifer Alcott, and I am the proud owner of Jamil’s Steakhouse, a Tulsa staple that’s been serving the community since 1945. For over 75 years, Jamil’s has been a place where history, flavor, and family traditions come together. From our thick steaks, to our hickory-smoked ribs and bologna, and our seafood, to our signature Lebanese hors d’oeuvres, our restaurant has been the meeting ground for generations of Tulsans. Now we need your help to start our next chapter in our small business.
Our Story: Jamil’s Steakhouse began in 1945 when my grandfather, Jim “Jamil” Elias, opened the doors in Bristow, Oklahoma. The restaurant quickly became a favorite and moved to Tulsa in 1957, where it remained at 27th and Harvard for nearly 65 years. Over the decades, it become more than just a restaurant, it became a gathering place for the community and a home away from home for locals and visitors alike. In 2008, we relocated to our location on 51st Street near Harvard, but time has taken its toll, and it’s time for us to move again, due to this building on 51st near Harvard falling into a state of disrepair. As we embark on this exciting, yet challenging, journey to our new space at The Farm Shopping Center, on the corner of 51st and Sheridan, we are determined to preserve our rich history while creating a fresh, welcoming environment for our loyal customers and future generations of Tulsa.
Our Vision: We’re reimagining Jamil’s Steakhouse with cozy touches that celebrate our legacy while looking towards the future. Some of our plans include: A warm, inviting indoor and outdoor space. Our very first bar, a big accomplishment for my business. An outdoor seating area, completed with music, lights, and a fireplace, perfect for those intimate, late night steak dinners! We want this new location to be a welcoming space where everyone can relax, enjoy some tabouli, and feel at home.
How you can help? Renovating and relocating is no small task, and we can’t do it without your support. Your contribution will go directly toward making these dreams a reality. To show our gratitude, we’re offering special rewards for our donors:
$50+: A Jamil’s T-shirt (sizes M–XXXL) and your choice of a quart of Jamil’s BBQ sauce, tabouli, hummus, or salad.
$150+: A Jamil’s T-shirt (sizes M–XXXL) A choice of a 4-pack of cabbage rolls or a quart of tabouli, hummus, or BBQ sauce Free dessert for two.

Jamil’s is more than just a restaurant, it’s a piece of Tulsa history. Over the years, we’ve welcomed stars like Jayne Mansfield, Muhammad Ali, and Kristin Chenoweth, as well as countless families and friends who’ve made memories here. We’re asking for your help to ensure that Jamil’s can continue to serve the Tulsa community for years to come. Whether you’re a lifelong customer, or new to Jamil’s, your support means the world to us. Any donation helps, whether it’s a dollar, or 50 dollars, every donation is appreciated. Any money not used in this endeavor, will be donated to various charities and other organizations in the Tulsa area and/or used for future business plans.
Thank you for helping us keep this tradition alive. Together, we can make sure Jamil’s remains a beloved part of Tulsa for generations to come.
Warmly,
Jennifer Alcott, Owner
