Support Uncle Derrick Smith's Final Journey

Hello Everyone,

I am Diana and I am heartbroken. I only have 2 uncles left on my mom side since she passed and now I have to take responsibility again for a family member. My oldest uncle Derrick Smith came to stay with me in April and he was okay (I thought) he complained about chest pain one night so we sent him to the ER to get checked out. 2 months later he is still there and they find Colon Cancer, COPD, pneumonia on his right lung and a horrible infection in his stomach after the tumor was removed. He started declining rapidly with the need for sedation and the ventilator and nothing got better. He now has to get off the ventilator and has a few hours to days to live and I need help. My family is so estranged that the pressure has been on me. He has no life insurance and I can not find his only son and I just want to be able to at least cremate him so it won’t be as if he was abandoned because he did come with me and I’m pretty much all he has. Anything helps and I will greatly appreciate any assistance. Please keep my family in prayer and and pray for strength as I try to manage this loss and care for my own children.
