Michelle is a US Military Veteran who proudly served in the United States Navy for several years. She has served her community as an Emergency Room Nurse for 4 years. After getting off work at 12:30 a.m. on the morning of Valentines Day, February 14, 2019, she drove on the eastbound 10 freeway. As she drove in the rain that morning, she witnessed a motorist in front of her spin out of control and hit the center divider. Michelle, being the good Samaritan that we all know her to be, took action and stopped to lend assistance to the two motorists.
As she was attempting to move them into her truck and to a safer area, another vehicle on the freeway struck the vehicles and Michelle was struck and ran over. She was brought to Pomona Valley Trauma Hospital where they determined that she had a broken pelvis, a broken left arm, broken ribs, a facial fracture and a possible contusion to her heart. Since then they have performed surgery on her left elbow and feel her heart is now stable. She is as tough as nails and has already made some improvements but has a long road of recovery to go. We are so very thankful that she is alive but also know that she will need time to heal. The doctors feel her recovery may take 6-12 months barring any complications at this early point. She is the breadwinner for her family and this setback will no doubt be a financial as well as physical burden on her. I decided to put this Go Fund Me together for her, because her whole adult life she has spent helping others (she served our country as a Navy helicopter airman, she served her community as an Emergency Room Nurse, and she served a fellow stranger by coming to their aid when they needed her help) I think its time we help her in her time of need. Please help her get back to doing what she loves, serving her country, her community, her fellow man. Anything helps, pass this on, Thank you.
