Hi all,
My name is Conor Kelly and I have been selected to represent Northern Ireland at this Summer’s Commonwealth Judo Championships in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Unfortunately this is a completely self-funded trip that will cost me around £2,000 for flights, accommodation, entry fee and transfers.
I have recently returned to the sport competitively after a break in competing having focused on other sports. Since I have returned I have won the Northern Ireland senior championships which granted me qualification into this event as well as this I have received my first Dan black belt.
It is a massive privilege to be afforded this opportunity to represent Northern Ireland. It would mean the world to be able to show gratitude to all of those who have supported me in my return to competitive judo. I now want to concentrate all my efforts towards performing to the best of my ability at this event.
I would be very grateful for any support you can give me and I am also open to any sponsorship opportunities available for local businesses.
