In 1995, my sister was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, they did radiation, chemotherapy, and blood transfusions. They took the tumor out. She died 1 year later; she was only 2 years old. My mom paid the medical bills and never asked for help.

In 2015, my mom was diagnosed with melanoma and a mass in her lung. They removed the cancer spot on her back, they removed a portion of her lung. My mom had received a round of chemotherapy just as a precautionary measure. My mom paid the medical bills and never asked for help. She was cleared, and grateful, until…

On April 20, 2023, my mom was diagnosed with advanced stage neuroendocrine carcinoma. The cancer has spread throughout her body. She has lesions in her neck, chest, lungs, ribs, her vertebrae, all through her abdomen and pelvic bones, on her scapula and femur. The cancer is so bad on her pelvic bones and femur, she is forbidden to walk. Aggressive chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and multiple blood transfusions, and my mom still works remote as the Senior Director of Internal Systems for 23 years, because she has medical bills to pay, and she refuses to give up!

My mom was readmitted into the hospital on May 6, 2023 fighting for her life. On May 8, 2023, my stepfather informed her that she no longer has a home to be discharged to and she must find a new place to live. A 30-year marriage has come to a bitter end. Right after COVID started to lift in 2021, my mom, stepfather, and brother sold everything, bought a couple of RVs, and hit the road to see the world! This is their 48th stop! Since being diagnosed, mom has been in the hospital with bills that are piling high. The insurance company is refusing to pay and is forcing her to be discharged, but she cannot return to the RV. My mom needs help to purchase furniture for their new home so that she can be discharged from the hospital. She cannot return to the RV due to safety concerns and being evicted by her former husband, so it’s best that she found a small home of her own; unfortunately, it’s unfurnished and does not come with appliances.

All proceeds will raised will cover moving expenses, furniture, appliances and help manage her medical bills. Any donations that exceed the current ask will go to additional payments on her medical bills which are currently over $100,000. Our family is grateful for any donations!
