Dear Friends and Family,
We are sending out this heart felt plea on behalf of our dear friend, John Bitter. John’s wife, Dinah, who many of you know, was diagnosed three weeks ago with a terminal illness and given only a short time to live. Sadly, Dinah passed away this morning. She had spent the last week of her life at home in the care of Hospice and with John and her mother constantly by her side. She no longer has to feel any pain or struggle and has peacefully made her transition.
In this time of great sadness, as Dinah’s time on this earth has come to a close, not only is John facing a long emotional struggle that we cannot begin to imagine, but he is also facing insurmountable debt incurred as the result of the huge number of hospital bills that continue to flood his mailbox. The reality of the situation is that there is no insurance coverage and without monetary help, John could be facing a life time of financial struggle. We have decided to set up this page for John, because he is such a selfless human being who, as many of you know, has been there for us, listened to our stories and laughed with us for so many years that we think of him as family. If you know John at all then you know that he would never, himself, ask for help. That is why we are requesting aid on his behalf. If you have it in your heart to help in any way, big or small, please make a donation so that we may help him to offset these overwhelming expenses. We are setting a goal of $20,000.
