Rhondas fight

Donation protected

It pains me to have to write and share this with all of you but it’s something that unfortunately needs to be done.

My wife has been battling Breast Cancer and Metastatic Stage 4 breast cancer for sometime now. More recently having to under go two different femur rod surgeries, radiation and some intense drugs protocols.

Her fight ramps up here shortly as the tumour in her liver has doubled in size in the past couple of months. Resulting in her having to start on her last line of defence, and very invasive chemotherapy protocol. But she is ready for the fight.

Part of that fight and ongoing battle includes a plethora of holistic, tradition, non traditional, nutritional, and Chinese medicine protocols that are not covered for her.

Over the past few yers this battle has almost broken the 4 of us physically, spiritually and financially but we fight on.

With your help we can get Rhonda the additional treatment, supplements, and medicines she wants and needs to finally beat this battle.

The list of what she currently pays for, and wishes she could pay for is extensive and currently costs in the ballpark of $1000 per month. And that doesn’t include any travel or treatment options / facilities she would like to pursue in the fight.

Any thing we can do to help Rhonda and her journey will go a long way, and do more then we could even imagine.

Please feel free to read the words from Rhonda below on a recent post of hers regarding her latest setback and moving into chemo, and please know that anything helps!

Thank you, we are all more grateful than words can ever explain.

If you wish to follow her journey please feel free to do so on her website www.pinkproject.net or her social @rjramsay36 or www.facebook.com/thepinkproject1

“To say this journey has been exhausting is an understatement. Just when I think I’ve turned a corner and am ready to receive news of this cancer retreating, I’m faced with the opposite. I don’t understand it. I’m left with emotions that are hard to deal with. I know what lies ahead of me is not easy. And deep down I hoped this day would be coming much later in this journey, but here it is. The tumor in my liver has doubled in size over the last couple of months while other tumors remain stable.

…and so, when there’s progression in any area it means changing treatments. And for me, because I have already exhausted the least invasive treatments available right now, it’s on to the tough stuff. I’ve been down this road before…I know what this looks like. And at first I was heartbroken. It means getting a portacatheter (which is a port surgically put in directly to my heart) to deliver toxic chemicals throughout my body to kill everything in sight. It was the treatment I’ve been trying to avoid but to no avail. My time has come. But I’ve had my breakdown, shed my tears, envisioned the imprisonment of weekly treatments, hair loss, and simply feeling overall like I’d rather be dead and now I’m building my mind and body up to the highest I can so that when I fall, I will not hit the ground, but continue to soar! I won’t let this break me. I know what to expect, but I know so much more about how to deal with this than I did 8 years ago when this chemotherapy knocked me down. It may knock me down but I won’t stay down. I will continue to have hope that this will be the turn around. It is through the toughest things that we see the most reward…so I’m counting on a HUGE reward for this.”
