Hello, from the Friends of LPGA Touring Pro Liz Nagel. We are a group of Villagers (The Villages, Fla) who have come together to lend Liz  some "Fan" and "Monetary" support.  Over the last 4-5 years we have grown to be a large group that follow her every move.  When she is on the "Tour", we anxiously watch, worry and cheer her on. Each winter, we look forward to hearing when Liz is back in The Villages so we can set up a round of golf or invite her out for dinner. She is very polite, humble, personable and a delight to hang out with. As fellow golf enthusiasts, she has become our "Hometown Girl".

Liz has been an LPGA Touring Pro since 2015 and uses The Villages as her winter training grounds. When she is visiting The Villages, you will often find her at Glenview Champions' driving facility, or on a course playing with the Tuesday MSU Men's Group.  By the way, last year she was 30th in driving distance with an average drive of 264 Yrds (we make her play from the Gold tees).

Liz has had an excellent start to her career, considering she is self-funded. Playing and traveling on the LPGA tour is very difficult and costly, and although Liz has been able to secure some essential sponsor funding from Rocket Mortgage and A&W Restaurants, she still struggles to meet all the funding requirements. As such, we have started a "CrowdFunding" account at GoFundMe to help Liz achieve her dream of playing as a regular on the LPGA tour.

If Liz plays 30 tournaments or Corporate Pro-Ams, her basic starting cost can exceed $80,000 a year. To be successful, she needs to play in as many tournaments as possible to retain her LPGA Tour Card. Last year, she was only able to enter 15 tournaments. A top 100 finish will secure Liz her LPGA card for 2023 and maybe about $125,000 in winnings.  At that time she should start recieving additional income from  Corporate Sponsors.   Below is a chart from  Golfweek (1/11/2020), it shows comparisons of the costs of playing on the Men’s and Women’s tours (Top 50 Finish)

We are asking Villagers, MSU Alumni, and Women and Men who love the LPGA to join "The Friends of Liz Nagel" as Local Sponsors to help her achieve her life's dream.  If you see Liz on the range or at Lake Sumter Landing, please introduce yourself as a "Friend" and she will autograph your hat and give you that beautiful Liz Nagel smile.  Please feel free to tell your friends that you are a "Sponsor" of Liz Nagel on the LPGA Tour and ask them to join us.

We have set a "CrowdFunding" goal of $20,000. This money will help Liz through this year and the start of next year, and will give her the ability to concentrate on the task at hand, that is golf. Please note: Contributions to this fund are considered a "gift" and are not tax deductible.   When you make your gift, "GoFundMe" will take 3% of gift for Credit Card Administration Fees, the rest of your Gift is then directly deposited into Liz's bank account.  GoFundMe is a very good company, they are used to raise money for the largest National Disasters to the smallest School Band fundraiser.  They make thier money via tips.  We reccommend a 5% tip on large gifts to $2 for a $20 gift.

Our most sincere appreciation,
The Friends of Liz Nagel
