Help a Family Overcome Homelessness

Hey everyone. I never thought I’d have to do this, but I am putting my pride aside for these two beautiful kids. I lost my home due to a domestic violence situation. I moved in with family, but I was unable to stay there long for a few reasons. So, from January to July 4th, I have been experiencing homelessness and trying to survive with my kids.

At a certain time, I actually had to give my kids to my parents so that they wouldn’t be affected by what I was going through. In that time frame, I have slept in my car a lot and missed many meals. My mental health has been deteriorating a lot. I recently was able to live with a friend, but again that did not pan out the way it was supposed to, so again I am stuck in a very challenging place.

I have tried shelters and with no avail, I have not been able to find one open for a family due to the many people in this city going through what I am also going through. I am doing interviews to get my life in order as I am able to get a job, but in the meantime, I am just trying to raise money to get a hotel for a month so that I can get a job and save money to move forward. I know this is a reach, but it is also my last cry for help. My mental health is not good at the moment and has landed me in the hospital at one point. I am just trying to rebuild, so if anyone has it in their heart to donate anything, it would be greatly appreciated and used for a good cause.
