Urgent: Help us dream of a better tomorrow outside Gaza

Donation protected

Hi, I am Aseel. I am 22 years old. I was studying at the university, majoring in business administration. I was in my fourth and final year, but the war happened and I was unable to finish my education, unfortunately.

I am here to tell you on this platform my story and part of what I and my family are suffering from.

In short, I live with my family, which consists of 9 members:
My father, who is 61 years old, used to work as an employee but retired from his job two days before the war.
My mother, who suffers from difficulty adapting to bad conditions, such as cooking food daily on firewood, washing clothes by hand, and sleeping in a tent with an uneven floor, causes her and us pain in the back and joints.
My older brother Taha, was the one who supported the family, as he was working as an employee, but his work was interrupted due to the war and the targeting of a headquarters. Before the war, he was striving and dreaming in order to make a sum of money and open his own business, But now his dream has changed and he is working, dreaming, and going away for long hours to get a bag of flour to provide for us. We satisfy our hunger with it, and we now live on aid

My brother, engineer Abdullah, who recently graduated before the war and has not yet had a job opportunity.
My brother, Dr. Muhammad, who is studying medicine abroad and is in his first year, his life is now in danger, and it is possible that he will not complete his studies and his dream due to the inability to provide his monthly expenses and rent.
My brother Ahmed, who recently finished his high school studies and registered at the university, specializing in web programming, because he loves working on computers and the field of programming and codes, and he has not had a single day’s study at the university yet.
My sisters, Maram and Yara, study in middle school and high school. They loved writing stories and writing down every idea that came to their mind to try it out. They were always full of energy and loved the Korean singing group. Now they spend most of their time petting their cat named Kiki, which they brought with them when they moved to the south. At the beginning of the war, she gave birth to 3 kittens, but we are all sad because we are unable to feed them.

My younger brother, Omar, was in the fourth grade, and he loved PUBG and a lot of online games. His dream was to be a famous YouTuber, and every time he would film himself playing PUBG and others, and he would publish the video on YouTube, and when he saw one like or comment, he would be surprised and be in love. Extremely happy, and now he is helping my mother by putting wood and tree branches to light the fire so my mother can cook food for us due to the lack of gas.

At the beginning of the war, we received a call to evacuate the building because it and the buildings next to us would be targeted, and at this moment I had many questions? where will we go? Will the house and my father's tiredness leave? Will my memories in this house end? After the heartbreaking call, we did not think of anything except for all of us to leave the building. We had nowhere to go, so we remained in the street in the rainy weather and the bitter cold, without a roof to protect us or make us feel a little warm. As the sun rose, we were devastated and forced to flee south of the Strip, leaving all our hopes behind. And our dreams without taking our luggage or what is necessary for a day out, such as food and clothes.
We went to my grandmother’s house in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, thinking that it would be safer than the north, but in reality there is no safe place in Gaza. We stayed in my grandfather’s house for nearly two months, and they were the worst two months I had spent in my life, in terms of psychological and physical fatigue and the interruption of electricity, water, and gas. The matter did not stop only with water and electricity, but the prices of food commodities rose incredibly, and a large percentage of them were cut off from the market. Even when any commodity was available, we became unable to buy it because those who were supporting the family were now no longer working. Every day the situation got worse than before, until the worst event came when the tanks arrived in an area close to my grandmother’s house. Meanwhile, the area was also threatened with evacuation and we were headed to the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis. We lived in a state of confusion. Why should we go there when there is no home for us? There was no one we knew there, but we had to escape from death. When we arrived in this area, we prepared a tent that might protect us from the cold and from the eyes of people. Life became worse than it was before, and the possibility of providing a bathroom became very difficult, water was cut off for up to 4 days a week, and communication and the Internet were cut off. Also after that, my grandmother's house was completely destroyed.

One morning, one of the difficult days, my brother Taha and his friend set off to charge our phones in one of the stores that has electricity through solar panels powered by the sun. When they approached the place, they were targeted and shot. My brother’s friend was shot in the back and fell to the ground. Taha survived and did not. Something happened to him. I will mention to you one of the many horrific events that happen to us every day. After this event, we were forced to flee for the fourth time to the city of Deir al-Balah to the Al-Mawasi area on the sea. So we set up a tent again on the sea, and my brothers and I became infected with severe diseases and infections due to the pollution and spreading viruses, so we lived the same tragedy.

#The reason I resorted to this platform❗️
After everything you read above, we also lost our home and they left nothing for us. Demolishing and bombing my father's dream and his toil throughout the years that he put in that house. In addition, we were exposed to death several times. Life has become very scary here. We are living through terrifying days. We have not been able to sleep at night for more than 6 months. I will show you pictures of the shells and live bullets around us that could have killed us. The only way to survive is to leave the war zone in Gaza to Egypt across the border, and this is very expensive and we cannot bear its burden. Therefore, we ask for your help in order to survive and live safely.

Where will the money go⁉️
Due to the change in circumstances and the destruction of our house on 12/4/2024. The division of money has changed so I should tell you that We will use these funds as follows:
• The cost of coordination to cross the Egyptian border was $200 to $600 per person.
Now the price of coordination to cross the border and enter Egypt is equal to $5,000 to $7,000 per person, and this is done through Hala Company only.
The higher the amount, the faster the travel procedures are
My family and I consist of 9 people, i.e.
9 * 6000 = $54,000. The total amount of crossing the Egyptian border for me and my family.
There is $12,000 left
to renovate our house after the end of the war.
There is $4000 left
It will provide rent and living costs for me and my family in Egypt for 4 months.

Note: “Rouand Alshaer is my sister who is married abroad. The Go Fund Me account cannot be linked directly to my bank account. This cannot be done in my country because this is Go Fund Me policy, unfortunately. Therefore, I had to resort to an account abroad, so she would be the one who would transfer the money to us.”

Thank you all for your support
