YEMEN CRISIS
Since 2015, Yemen, a middle eastern country has been facing the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Due to an ongoing war with Saudi Arabia, the country has been at breaking point for quite some time. Over 24 million of Yemen’s population are in need of humanitarian assistance, 85,000 children are already dead from a famine. Yemen as a country is literally about to go extinct. To make matters worse coronavirus has only escalated the situation making living condition more extreme. Every 10 minutes a child under five dies from preventable causes in Yemen.
To help this country face coronavirus and other threats, we have decided to run 22miles each over 7 days in total running just over 70 kilometres. But we need your help, any donations would be much appreciated to help us reach our goal. We understand this won’t change anything hugely, but it will make large differences to families suffering. £1OO can give seven people enough cash and food vouchers for 8 weeks. Every 1 kilometre we run we help one person for 8 weeks.
WHERE WE WILL BE DONATING:
Save The Children, uses donations to provide lifesaving treatments for malnourished people, provide access to essential hygiene and clean water to stop the spread of virus’s and give children safe places, to learn play and start the process of recovery. As well as providing food in a famine
