Shirley Busack Stroke Support fund

Shirley Coulter Busack is 52 years old. After two major open heart surgeries, she had a stroke on October 12th leaving her paralyzed on the right side and unable to speak, write, or communicate at this time. Since then, we the family, have been trying to manage her finances and other aspects of her life. We have found that we need help with finances at this difficult time. In the meantime, we are trying to get Medicaid and Disability for my mom. We have been informed that this may take three months or longer.
On August 14th three days away from my twenty second birthday she had her first open heart surgery. Everything seemed fine, but she wasn’t recovering the way she should have. Four weeks after her surgery she went in for a test and discovered to our dismay that all of the repairs from the first surgery had failed. On September 29th she went back in for another open heart surgery, where she had a double cardiac bypass and two valves replaced again. A week and a half after her surgery, she had a sever stroke in the main artery on the left side of her brain. The neurologist thought originally that she would make a near full recovery, but later scans revealed massive amounts of damage to her brain. We are hoping that she will recover and have no further complications. We are trying to find funding to help pay for expenses until we get her affairs in order. I have withdrawn from school to help her in this difficult time. Any help, including advice and prayers, would be very much appreciated. On behalf of my mom, thank you.
