Help support Care Flight Nurse Ed Pricola's family

Our dear friend, Ed Pricola, was killed in the Care Flight crash on February 24th. He was the Flight Nurse on board. Ed gave his life as he lived his life: in service to others.
Ed was an adoring husband to his wife, Lauren, and an incredible father to his four-year-old daughter Riley, and two-year-old son Everett, and a true friend to those fortunate enough to know him well. He will be missed dearly.
It took both Lauren and Ed's salaries to care for and support their family, so we are starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden that Lauren is now faced with.
Before Ed was a Flight Nurse for Care Flight or a Charge Nurse in a hospital, he was an Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer in the Marine Corps. Ed was deployed three times, once to the Indo-Pacific on the 13th MEU, and twice to Helmand Province, Afghanistan (Marjah in 2010, and Now Zad in 2011/12) .
As a squad leader, Ed was inspirational. He was tactically cunning, deeply thoughtful, and was the epitome of a servant leader. He could go toe-to-toe on mission planning with the most senior officers in the company, but would also sleep in the dirt every night with his Marines.
Ed never put himself above hard work or danger - he lived to fight alongside his brothers.
In passing, Ed had a quiet confidence that put you at ease. But get to know him deeper, and you saw there was so much more to Ed. He was a jokester who could tell you a story so funny you would literally gasp for air. He was a performer who at any moment might break out in a Frank Sinatra song or a self-authored rap. He was kind, someone who would take you under his wing and make you believe in yourself.
Ed was the best of us - and we will all miss the light he brought to the world.
