Henry's Road to Recovery

My name is Amber, and I’m a good friend of Henry’s. Recently, Henry unexpectedly couldn't feel his legs, and fortunately, his daughter Pey was with him and quickly called 911. He was rushed to Northwestern, where doctors discovered he was suffering from an aortic dissection—his large blood vessels branching off his heart had torn. He was immediately rushed into open heart surgery with a 50/50 chance of survival. After three intense weeks in the ICU, Henry is now on the road to recovery and slowly getting back on his feet however, this will be a lifelong condition requiring continued medical care.

He’s is still in good spirits, flashing his classic Henry smile (sunglasses included), and truly appreciates all the love and support he’s received. The medical bills are overwhelming, and any contribution—big or small—would mean so much as he continues to heal. Henry is incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time. Thank you for helping him on his journey to recovery.
