In memory of Coach Aly Khamis an educational fund

Donation protected
This Go Fund Me campaign is to establish an educational fund for the three daughters (ages 8, 15 and 23) of the late Fencing Master Aly Khamis. Maestro Aly unexpectedly passed away April 4th, 2021 while in Alexandria, Egypt. He had recently been recruited to coach the Egyptian Pentathlon Team through the Olympic Games. Maestro Aly was looking forward to returning to his family and fencing community at the end of the summer.

As a member of the Egyptian National Team and the African Champion Team in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Aly received nineteen Egyptian national medals and fenced in three World Championships and twelve World Cups.  He immigrated to the United States in the mid-1990s.  Maestro Aly had a distinguished career as a fencing coach at clubs in the Dallas suburbs, including La Touche Fencing Center, North Texas Fencing Alliance and Fencing Institute of Texas. Maestro Aly was Vice-President South Region of the United States Fencing Coaches Association and a member of the USFCA Executive Leadership Committee.

Maestro Aly is remembered for his longstanding commitment to the education of fencing coaches and the development of youth fencers.

Please support us in this endeavor to raise funds for the college education of his daughters by sharing this link with those who knew Coach Aly.
