Mezich family medical costs

David & Sam Mezich had 3 beautiful little kids with the 4th on the way.   David works construction & Sam is a stay at home mom.  While this was an exciting time, Sam had been feeling unwell for  the last few weeks. She was having headaches, and breathing trouble and nausea. It was hard to tell what was just pregnancy related and what to worry about until it came to a head and  they knew it was time to go to the ER. They dropped the kids off at grandmas and went to the nearest ER. They were being tested and overnight Sam's blood pressure spiked to dangerous levels. After meeting with doctors and many tests Sam was transferred by ambulance to a higher level hospital. There she met with a team of doctors who diagnosed her with pre-eclampsia and decided that based on the spikes in blood pressure it was safer to induce and deliver baby girl Sharry at 34 weeks rather than wait any longer. She was delivered 1/21/2016 weighing 4lbs 12oz. She was immediately admitted to the NICU where they have been watching her closely. She is struggling with common things that premies struggle with, such a temp control, feeding issues, jaundice etc. She is a strong girl and working hard to grow. While Sharry has been working on her own health, Sam has also been struggling. She was ready to be discharged after being monitored over 24 hours when her blood pressure again went dangerously high and resulted in the need to administer meds rapidly. It was a blessing she was still at the hospital where the team of doctors and nurses worked quickly to drop the pressure. The second spike is rare and has the doctors wondering if there is another condition to be looking for that is causing such dramatic spells of high blood pressure. They are currently looking to see if it may be a tumor on the adrenal gland. As of right now they have no sure cause of what Sam has been through. We are praying it all comes to light soon. For now Dave is taking time off work, unpaid, to be with the kids and Sam duing this crucial time. They are spending more and more money daily on travel, food, and other expenses related to having mom and baby in the hospital so far from home and without Dave working its quickly running out.   They are also facing mounting medical bills as the stay becomes longer and longer for both Mom and baby, not to mention the daily bills back at home that don't go away. The family needs money coming in ASAP to pay for gas, food, and babysitting - and further down the road to pay for the mounting medical bills.  This will offer some relief so they can focus on the family, staying strong for the healing process and getting both mom and baby home.  David & Sam do all they can for others in need and this time they are the ones in need.  Thank you to all who help them through this rough patch.
