Help Amber Fight Cancer
Donation protected
In November of 2023 my best friend Amber, who has been an integral part of my life since I was very young, and a beautiful human being, got the news that many of us pray we never hear. She was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. Amber and her partner Dru and their families are devastated by the news and are now preparing for the battle of their lives. With situations like this comes extreme medical and financial burdens during a time where stress and hardship should be the least of their concerns. If you know Amber and Dru you know that they are not ones to ever reach out like this for support in any way, so we are doing it for them, with their permission of course. I know there are people all across the United States that love these two human beings as much as I do and are looking for a way to help so I figured this would be the easiest and most effective way to do so.
The donations that are received will be used for things such as medical deductibles and co-pays, subsidizing days missed of work for Amber during and post-treatment as they range from 3-6 hours, comfort items to alleviate chemo and radiation symptoms, or anything that can assist Amber and Dru through this difficult and overwhelming time. All donations will be directly deposited into their account from this site. No donation is too small, feel free to drop a note of encouragement if you are unable to donate at this time as we understand with this current economy we are all struggling in some way. Prayers are always welcomed!
If you know Amber you know that she has dedicated herself to everyone she ever meets. Her work ethic, strength, determination, positivity help her to push forward and face this diagnosis head on. She allows for weak moments, as they are natural and necessary to cope. She considers this new journey to be one of the toughest “trail races” she has ever encountered, with high and low points but she will cross the finish line after chemo treatments, radiation and surgery. She will come out on the other side of this to hopefully be a comfort to many and an inspiration to all. She is an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, auntie, friend, soccer player, coach, and trail runner and I am hoping that she will be back to running trails soon and lifting the spirits of everyone she meets. She is one in a million and I know she will fight this passionately.
