Stanton family

On sunday, July 25th, my brother in law Blake and nephew Drew Stanton were involved in a nearly fatal fire accident. Blake was airlifted to Syracuse with Drew close behind by ambulance. 14 year old Drew suffered multiple 3rd degree burns to his arm and leg which will require multiple surgeries and skin grafts. Blake, who took a majority of the impact, suffered 3rd degree burns to 62% of his body. The extent of Blakes injury is still unknown as the doctors are still fighting to get him stabilized. Blake will also require multiple surgeries and a long hospital stay. Blake will also require 24 hour care once he is able to return home. It is unknown when or if Blake will return to work and my sister Melissa is currently not working to be with her son and husband who will both have a lengthy hospital stay. Family is planning to hold a benefit in October to help with the cost of medical expenses. Details on date and time will be announced at a later date.
