Anderson Recovery Trail Fund

Hello! My name is Christina Kane. I have known Gen Anderson and her sister Chara for 26 years. I am putting this together on behalf of Gen and her husband Jason who need our help. On May 20th, Jason was travelling, along with 2 of his co-workers to a job site in his Honda Odyessy minivan. They were stopped behind a school bus that was waiting to turn into a driveway. While they were stopped, they were rear-ended by a 2002 Toyota Tundra with such force that they were propelled into the back of the school bus (no one on the bus was hurt). Upon impact, the front end of Jason's van exploded. Jason and his co-workers were taken to Akron area hospitals with life threatening injuries . Jason suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to approximately 39% of his body affecting his face, neck, chest, back and both arms. He was transferred to Akron Children's Hospital Burn Unit for treatment . Jason is holding his own and he is about to undergo his fourth surgery for debris and treatment of his burns tomorrow, June 4th. Upon arrival to the hospital, the doctors said that Jason will be in the hospital a minimum of 39 days, and that is not counting surgeries or rehab that may be required after he is moved from the burn unit. Gen, along with thier daughter Rhyan, stay in Akron as many nights as they can to be nearJason during his recovery. There are some days that they do need to make the hour drive back to their home in Warren, so Gen can continue to work some during this time. As you can imagine, they have a lot of expenses for gas, food and just overall living expenses right now and they will need to address medical bills as they continue down this road to recovery. I know Gen and Jason would never ask for help on their own but they will truly need as help as they can get during this difficult time. any funds raised wil go to Gen and Jason to help them with expenses during this time.
